A total of 16 graduates at the graduation ceremony for the Professional, Specialist, Masters, and Doctoral Program at UI in the Odd Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year received summa cumlaude predicate with GPA of 4. One of them was dr. Irzan Nurman, M.Sc., EPC, QWP, AIFO-K, FINEM, CHt, CI, CMC, CMNLP., who is a graduate of the Doctor of Medical Sciences Program, Faculty of Medicine. Through his research entitled “The Effect of Influence in Health Promotion Videos on Decision Making Intentions with Neuromarketing Studies Based on Physiological Parameter Analysis,” dr. Irzan assessed the effect of influencer elements in standardized health promotion videos.
dr. Irzan and his team compared the effect of the fame of the messenger, between influencers and non-influencers, by measuring the response of brain neurons, namely using Quantitative Electroencephalogram (qEEG), visual focus response using eye tracking, the autonomic response of sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves using Heart Rate measurements variability (HRV).
The success of dr. Irzan in conducting research and achieving a perfect GPA cannot be separated from the support around him. “I used to think this field was challenging. However, if we take it seriously, keep learning, and look for the best teachers, we will get good results. I am very grateful to UI for providing a learning environment that allows us to achieve the best outcome,” said Dr. Irzan.
Some of the best graduates who also achieved a GPA of 4 from each faculty, namely Theresia Santi and Luluk Yunaini from Faculty of Medicine; Nadhifa Tazkia Ramadhani, M. Dio Danarianto, Amarasinghe Achchige Thasun, and Sri Widiyanti Rahayu Hilia from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences; Widiyanto Saputro, Mohammed Ali Berawi, Kharisma Utomo Mulyodinoto, Epo Ilham Ajiprasetyo, Indrawan Juwono, and Jajang Amir Hidayat from the Faculty of Engineering; Elva Novitasari and Haryani Primanti from the Faculty of Economics and Business; and Syamsu Nur from the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Among the invited guests for the graduation ceremony, which was held at Balairung UI Depok Campus on Saturday (2/3), Plt. Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Education and Culture, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, Asean Eng., as guardian of his daughter, Catia Curie Angli, who graduated from the Faculty of Engineering UI. In a short interview, Prof. Nizam expressed his pleasure at his son’s graduation.
In accordance with the pledge of the graduates and the hymn of the alma mater, I think it is very important for the graduates to think about contributing to the nation and state. Apart from personal and career development and knowledge, it is also dedicated to the progress of the nation and state. Prof. Nizam hopes that the graduates can continue their careers and consistently carry out research to become experts in their respective fields.
