Fleksi, a startup fostered by the Directorate of Innovation and High Impact Research of Universitas Indonesia (UI) has successfully advanced to the Grand Final Round of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Entrepreneur Academy 2025. This achievement was achieved after Fleksi passed a strict selection with assessment criteria that included aspects of innovation, business potential, market validation, and the ability to implement the proposed solution. The grand final will be held on March 26, 2025, at the AIA Canopy, North Spine, NTU Singapore.

Fleksi is the latest innovative startup that focuses on developing technology-based medical device products. This product is specifically designed to support the diagnostic and evaluation process for patients with mobility disorders, so that it can provide more efficient and effective solutions in supporting medical needs.

Director of Innovation and High Impact Research of UI, Chairul Hudaya, Ph.D. said, “This achievement is not only a source of pride for Fleksi, but also proves that the nation’s children can compete on the international stage with brilliant, solution-oriented ideas. Fleksi’s participation in the NTU Entrepreneur Academy is a real manifestation of the spirit of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship that continues to be developed,” said Chairul.

The NTU Entrepreneur Academy program is one of the initiatives of NTU Innovation and Entrepreneurship as a forum for developing innovative business ideas that encourage prospective entrepreneurs to create sustainable solutions that have a real impact on society and grow the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Through this program, participants are given access to various coaching sessions, guidance from experienced mentors, and the opportunity to present their business ideas to leading industry experts and investors.

The Grand Final round will bring together the best teams from various countries to present their business innovations. Assessment is based on several criteria, including creativity and originality in developing products or services, market potential and scalability as indicators of the solution’s ability to be applied widely and sustainably, and implementation strategies in turning ideas into real products. In addition, aspects of social and economic impact are also considered, in order to assess the extent to which the innovation provides significant benefits to society and the environment.

“We are very grateful for this extraordinary opportunity. “The NTU Entrepreneur Academy program is a challenge and motivation for us to continue to develop our skills, perfect our business ideas, and prepare ourselves as best as possible for the Grand Final. We hope to bring the good name of Universitas Indonesia to the global stage,” said Ardi Putrawardana, CEO of Fleksi.
