The Department of Communication Studies to produce high-quality graduates excelling as ethical and morally-responsible professionals in the communication sciences, both in theory and practice, in Indonesia and abroad. In the Bachelor of Communication Studies program, students will direct to specialize in Journalism, Media Communication, Public Relations, and Advertising. The Postgraduate Communication Sciences program, meanwhile, is comprised of the following specializations: Media Management, Promotional Communication, Corporation Communication, and Management of Political Communication. The department of Communication Studies also holds, in addition to, regular bachelor programs, non-regular (parallel) programs and Special International Classes. Communication Science graduates generally work in mass media, advertising agencies, private companies (in public relations or publications), or government agencies.
This study program is open for regular undergraduate and parallel undergraduate classes, where the admission path for regular undergraduate courses is through SNMPTN, SBMPTN, and SIMAK-UI. As for similar classes, admission is through SIMAK-UI and PPKB.

Course Description
Two competencies aim to be developed in the Department of Political Science Undergraduate Program’s Curriculum. First, basic skills in the form of conceptual and theoretical analysis, mastery of methods, methods of research, and political commentary, as well as comparative and historical skills and knowledge. The second is practical skills, including writing, presentation, and debate skills. In addition, the Department of Political Science will direct students into two (2) specializations: Politics and Democratization in Indonesia and Comparative Politics. The Department of Criminology FSPS-UI has the vision to realize the Department of Criminology as a provider of education, teaching, and community service in research-based criminology to answer national and international crime problems. The Department of Social Welfare Sciences undergraduate program aims to produce graduates with essential knowledge and skills to reduce social injustice and inequality, as well as manage social problems through the development of preventive, curative, rehabilitative, and developmental programs. Department of Social Welfare will direct students to three (3) areas of specialization: specialization in social development and regional autonomy, the field in program planning and evaluation, and discipline in community development, poverty, and corporate social responsibility.
The curriculum for the undergraduate program in Social Welfare includes Social Development Fundamentals, Service Organization Management, Disaster Management Management, and Social Welfare Philosophy and Ethics. International Relations Science FISIP UI aims to produce graduates who can understand, explain and analyze various phenomena of international relations, and can play an active role in various professional fields that are relevant in this field, both in the government sector, research, education, and other sectors, national level as well as international.

The Communication Sciences Master Programme was established in 1982. It was founded as a specialization of the Social Sciences Master Programme. 1994 saw the discipline of programs: a specialized Master of Communication Management was established, one of a more practical nature and focused on management in the media and informational industries
