In the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture’s speech read by the Rector, it was stated that in the last four years, the implementation of Freedom of Learning has increasingly demonstrated the importance of mutual cooperation to realize independence in the Indonesian education system. “To keep going, we have to keep moving. Let’s continue the spirit of our predecessors to always move simultaneously to realize Freedom of Learning,” said Nadiem Makarim in his speech which was read by Prof. Ari.
In addition, the commitment to improve the quality and welfare of teachers and instructors is also continuously encouraged. Mutual cooperation and collaboration across ministries, local governments, and institutions need to be involved. For this reason, on the same occasion, UI also gave the Satyalancana Karya Satya honors from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Makara Dharma Bhakti honors to lecturers and education staff who have served and carried out their duties for 10, 20 and 30 years.

(30 years of service); Dr. Daly Erni, S.H., LL.M., M.H. (20 years of service); and Dr. drg. Saraventi, Sp.Pros.(K). (10 years of service). The participants consisted of all UI academics, both civil servants and non-civil servants representatives from each Faculty, Vocational Education Program, School, and Work Unit. The categories that were competed are divided into two, namely the Individual Category and the Group Category.
The fields that were competed for in the Individual Category consisted of Academic Administration, Financial Management, Laboratory Assistant, Archivist, Librarian, and Information Technology. Whereas in the Group Category, it included the Public Relations Sector, HR Sector, and All Fields. During its enactment, the participants went through several stages that had been carried out from June to August 2023, namely registration, administrative selection, announcement of administrative selection and judging schedule, and conductment of judging paper presentations and interviews.
At this moment of commemoration of independence, UI also received an ambulance from the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Indonesia (ILUNI FEUI) Batch 83. The delivery of this ambulance was received directly by the Rector of UI, Prof. Ari Kuncoro. This ambulance is expected to be useful in managing health in the UI Campus environment.
“Surely the existence of ambulances for operational campus activities is very high, in providing first aid and carrying out intensive care while on the way to the hospital. This ambulance will be operated by the UI Administrative Center under the UI Campus Environmental Security Technical Implementation Unit (UPT PLK) quick reaction unit. Thank you to the batch 83 alumni of FEUI, this assistance is very useful for the operations of the UI campus,” said Prof. Ari.
