FHUI Ranks First in Leading State University Partner of Law Firms in 2023 in the Top Indonesian Law Schools Ranking 2023

Depok, September 27th 2023. The Faculty of Law (FH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) achieved first place in the Top Indonesian Law Schools Ranking 2023 in a report issued by Hukumonline. This was achieved by FHUI as the Leading State University Partner of Law Firms in 2023 with a total of 279 partners or 34.4% of the total 812 participating law firm partners.

Dean of FHUI, Dr. Parulian Paidi Aritonang, S.H., LL.M., MPP., expressed his gratitude for the achievements achieved by FHUI which were announced on Thursday (7/9). “The role of law faculties in carrying out legal reform in today’s rapidly developing era is an important aspect. It’s time for us to collaborate, we can’t do it alone. We must understand how government policies influence economic activities which are always changing and need to periodically synergize the harmonization of internal regulations,” said D. Parulian.

Top Indonesian Law Schools Ranking 2023 is a ranking organized by Hukumonline. One of the categories presented is a ranking based on the distribution of universities according to the Western, Central, and Eastern regions. The distribution of regional higher education institutions used in this law higher education institutions ranking report follows the areas determined by the State University–Law Faculty Collaboration Board (BKS FH-PTN) throughout Indonesia. The Top Indonesian Law Schools Ranking data focuses on the distribution of the number of advocates who are alumni of specific universities at partner level at well-known law firms in Indonesia.

Quoted from Hukumonline, Research & Awards Manager of Hukumonline, Katon Baskoro, said that university statistical data was obtained through the Top 100 Indonesian Law Firms 2023 survey which was held by Hukumonline from February to April 2023. Apart from the ranking, Hukumonline also issued the Top Indonesian Law School Profiles 2023 which contains specific information from 22 domestic universities. This aims to introduce universities to those that do not contribute but also have excellent human resources.

The results of the report published according to Hukumonline focus on alumni as human resources who have studied Bachelor of Laws at universities in Indonesia and work as advocates. In particular, the top leadership of a law office as a partner.
