The OVIS UI YouTube channel exceeded 100,000 subscribers in November 2023 and received the Silver Play Button Award from YouTube. OVIS UI is managed by the Directorate of Academic Development and Learning Resources under the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs. OVIS UI has produced and broadcast over 750 open content videos with UI lecturers as source persons that aim to serve as a means of education and dissemination for the public. OVIS UI channel content is also broadcast on the ovis.ui.ac.id site, along with open content produced by all UI faculties, schools, and Vocational Programs.
This achievement was made possible by the significant contribution of all UI lecturers involved as source persons. Mr. Gatot F. Hertono, Director of Academic Development and Learning Resources, said, “Thank you to all UI lecturers who have contributed to this open content. Hopefully, in the future, the lecturers at UI can contribute more, and UI can achieve the Golden Play Button Award from YouTube. Thus impacting UI’s reputation at the global level.” By receiving this award, the Directorate of Academic Development and Learning Resources is motivated to improve the quality of OVIS UI content and make further achievements with all UI lecturers.
