Universitas Indonesia Postgraduate Entrance Examination (SIMAK UI) for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year was successfully held face-to-face on Sunday, November 3, at UI Depok Campus. This was the first offline exam since the Covid-19 pandemic, with morning and afternoon sessions to ensure participants’ comfort in the computer-based exam (CBT). A total of 2,648 participants took the exam, consisting of 1,256 applicants for the Masters Program, 233 for the Professional Program, 817 for the Faculty of Medicine Specialist Program, 155 for the Subspecialist Program, and 197 for the Doctoral Program. The Masters of Management and Masters of Notary Programs were the most popular.
Universitas Indonesia prepared 1,519 computers to support the implementation of the CBT exam at various locations on the Depok Campus. “We are grateful that the exam went smoothly without any significant obstacles,” said Dra. Amelita Lusia, Head of the UI Public Relations and Information Disclosure Bureau. Thanks to UI’s experience in the 2024 National Test-Based Selection (SNBT) UTBK, the preparation and implementation of the CBT exam is more polished this time, including the provision of 1,870 computers with sufficient reserves.
In addition to computer devices, UI also provides 24 exam rooms in 14 different locations on the Depok Campus, such as the Faculty of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Business, and other technology training centers. These facilities are designed to ensure the comfort and smoothness of participants during the exam.
Every year, UI opens three waves of registration for postgraduate programs. The third wave of SIMAK UI is scheduled to announce the exam results on Thursday, December 5, 2024, which can be accessed through the official UI admissions page.
