FEB UI students who took part in the competition were S1 students majoring in Accounting consisting of Maura Bellarmia Alexandrina, Angela Monalisa Kurniawa, Stefanny Chistina, Losania Vernanda Hedianto, Boby Kristanto Chandra, and Andito Danisworo Sulaikan.
In this event, Maura Bellarmia Alexandrina also won the title of Best Speaker. “In the competition we worked on the business case with the latest world cases in just 90 minutes and presented our results in 6 minutes,” Maura said.
With such little time, the biggest challenge is to prepare good presentation material. “Luckily, we were previously trained in looking for learning references and practicing with questions that we could find on the internet,” explained Maura.
The ICAEW Regional Business Challenge is a competition organized by ICAEW, bringing together 5 ASEAN countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Indonesia) and China in completing a business case.
ICAEW (Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) is an economic analysis institution that provides a big picture or report on economic performance from Southeast Asia for 144 thousand members.
