Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahudin Uno congratulated the UI Career, Internship, Scholarship, and Entrepreneurship (CISE) Virtual Expo 2022 for its success. “Business opportunities by utilizing information technology are currently growing. By mastering technology and digital platforms, we will become winners in the national and global arena,” he said when giving a welcoming speech at the UI CISE Virtual Expo 2022, Tuesday (25/10/2022).

As in previous years, UI through the UI Career Development Center (CDC) under therectorGraduate Career Development and UI Alumni Relations organized UI CISE Virtual Expo 2022 for students, UI graduates, and the general public.
This year the theme of the event is “Built Your Career To The Next Level”, which will be held for free on October 25-29, 2022. This year UI CISE Virtual Expo 2022 is in collaboration with Job2Go, ILUNI UI, and partners. Visitors can directly access to enjoy the exhibition through the Job2Go website at job2go.net/UICISE.
This Expo consisted of 43 national and multinational companies that opened recruitment and internship programs; 9 institutions/university scholarships at home and abroad; 15 entrepreneurship; 29 media partners; 16 partner universities; and 50 webinars.
Although the activities are still held virtually, quite a lot of companies and institutions are participating. The Chairperson of the UI CISE Virtual Expo 2022, Prof. Dr. drg. Sandra Fikawati, MPH., conveyed a report of 254,738 virtual expo visitors in 2021, while the career expo virtual booth was visited by 459,070 visitors. He is determined to continue to be creative and innovate to contribute to the development of human resources in Indonesia. “Currently, we are inviting other university partners to become affiliated to organize this expo so that they share information on job vacancies, scholarships, and entrepreneurship; can be socialized as much as possible and utilized by university graduates in Indonesia,” he explained. UI Chancellor Prof. Ari Kuncoro, in his speech said, this event aims to bring together the world of higher education with the world of work and industry.
In addition, it also facilitates students and graduates to obtain employment information, preparation for entering the world of work, scholarship information to continue their studies, as well as bridging internship opportunities for students.
This is also a series of efforts to optimize the link and match between university graduates and industry. “It is hoped that this event can accelerate the careers of graduates and provide enlightenment on the choice of career paths that will be taken by university graduates, especially in entering life after campus,” said Prof. Ari Kuncoro UI CISE is an annual event that is held twice a year and is held after the UI graduation ceremony (event and odd semester graduations) is completed. This event was attended by various companies and agencies to bridge the needs of graduates for jobs, higher education levels, and introduce their business or entrepreneurship to a wider audience.
UI Career, Internship, Scholarship & Entrepreneurship Virtual Expo 2022 has four activities during October 25-29, 2022. First, the Career Fair on the Job2Go website, visitors can access virtual booths from companies participating in this event and make job/intern applications. Secondly, the Scholarship Fair which allows visitors to access virtual booths from institutions participating in this event and view information about available scholarships, as well as make scholarship applications. Third, the Entrepreneurship Exhibition where visitors can access the virtual booths of participating startups from both students and alumni and get more information about the startups, their products, and opportunities for collaboration. Fourth, Career Webinars/Seminars that visitors can participate in by presenting expert speakers in their fields, and representatives from companies that support this event to provide information and tips about the career world.
