Universitas Indonesia by its Faculty of Medicine (FKUI) gave another adjunct professor
title to academician who plays important role and real work in the improvement of
education and research world.
This time, the title was given to a german nationality-medical experts, Prof. Dr. Med.
Markus Meyer. The conferment ceremony was held on Monday, January 1 st 2017 at
IMERI Building 1 st floor, Salemba Raya St. No. 6, Jakarta.
In the event, Prof. Meyer deliver his speech that was titled “From Bench to Bedside: the
Long Road to a New Medicine”.
Prof. Meyer is a pharmacology and surgery expert who has given numbers of contribution
for FKUI, expecially on urology surgery field.
Adjunct Professor of Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia (FKUI) is a honorary
degree for local or foreign expert who has ability in health or medical education and
research, and willing to share their knowledge to FKUI.
For FKUI-RSCM, the adjunct professor conferment was expected to improve medical
service quality and medical resident education process, also to tighten cooperation with
educational and research institutions in the world.
Besides Prof. Dr. Med. Markus Meyer, FKUI had given adjunct professor title for experts
from various medical educational and research field, among of them was Prof. Dr. Sentot
Santoso, PhD (University of Giessen, German), Prof. Bruce W.S. Robinson (University
of Western Australia), Prof. Henri A. Verbrugh, MD, PhD (Erasmus University,
Rotterdam, Netherlands), Prof. Shu-sen Zheng, PhD (Zejiang Medical University, China),
Prof. Hans-Juergen Maegert (Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, German), Prof.
Patricia Price (University of Western, Australia), Prof. Tan Hock Lim (Malaysia), Prof.
Hak Hotta (Kobe University, Japan), Prof. Brent A. Senior (University of North Carolina,
US), Prof. Roy M. Soetikno (Stanford University, US), Prof. Retno Wahyuningsih
