UI Students Achieve Achievements at Harvard University

Glory Lamria Aritonang, student of the FT UI Bioprocess Technology won first prize at the Harvard Project for International Relations (HPAIR). The competition with the theme Business Impact Challenge took place on February 15-18 2019 at Harvard University, United States.

In the event, Glory collaborated with students from Oxford University, Nazarbayev, and Kathmandu and won the Impact Challenge category in the marketing strategy and expansion categories.

“We make solutions for companies engaged in dengue, zika and malaria. The solution contains strategy research and market penetration. Next, there will be pitching in front of the judges, “said Glory.

Glory’s struggle to take part in the competition was long. He had to take part in a selection process, namely file selection, interviewing, until he managed to leave for America to take part in the race.

Not only that, in October 2018 Glory also won a gold medal at the International Genetically Engineering Machine (IGEM) Competition in Boston, United States. His interest in the health sector motivated him to find solutions to various health problems in Indonesia.

“Contributions in the health sector are not only in the medical field, but involve various disciplines. By becoming a FT UI student, I can design and find solutions to health problems in Indonesia, “said the 2017 UI Promotion Ambassador.
