UI Wins Five Public Relations and Information Awards

Universitas Indonesia (UI), through the Bureau of Public Relations (Humas) and Public Information Transparency (KIP), has again achieved five awards at the 2024 Anugerah Media Humas (AMH) and Anugerah Humas Indonesia (AHI) events. The event, organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia (AMH) and Humas Indonesia (AHI), was held at the Pullman Hotel Convention Center, Bandung, West Java, October 10, and The Rich Hotel, Yogyakarta, October 11.

UI won three silver awards from AHI for the categories of public information service reports, social media, and printed magazine edition XXIII/2023. In addition, UI also received a bronze award from AHI for the category of management and presentation of public information and social media at the AMH event.

Amelita Lusia, M.Si., CPR, Head of the UI Public Relations and KIP Bureau, expressed her appreciation for this achievement. “We are very grateful to all parties who have appreciated the hard work of the UI Public Relations and KIP Bureau team. Every year, UI Public Relations and KIP always receive awards, although for different categories. This award spurs us to improve our performance and innovate even more,” said Amelita.

She added that as a leading campus in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, UI is committed to carrying out its social responsibility by conveying information to the public transparently, both through conventional and digital media. “UI Instagram, which currently has 1 million followers, is an interactive media that can reach all levels, therefore we routinely continue to update informative and educational content,” she said.

As a public body, UI continues to demonstrate its commitment to being an open, inclusive, and informative institution. “The achievement for the category of service reports and presentation of public information certainly motivates us to continue to improve services to the public that are fast, precise, and responsive,” said Amelita.

In his remarks at the AMH event, the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, emphasized the importance of the role of public relations in socializing the policies and programs of the agencies they represent. “Adaptation to the development of digital technology in the midst of this transformation is very vital, in ensuring that information can be accessed quickly and transparently,” he said.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Humas Indonesia, Asmono Wikan, expressed his appreciation for public bodies that continue to innovate in information disclosure. “We really appreciate public bodies that are able to innovate in presenting information disclosure. Especially in this digital era, the challenges are increasingly complex, so it is important to always innovate,” he said.

The award received by UI shows the institution’s commitment to conveying information openly, adaptive to technological developments, and responsive to public needs. UI continues to strive to be an example of information disclosure and an inspiration for other institutions.
